maybe what separates us from those
who were introduced to an art 
while they were still so young
is not only a few handful
of years of practice
but growing into a passion 
before being taught
how to be cringy
how to be wrong

when you are all over the place
you simply cannot define home
as being
one place
one thing
one person
or even as
not being
another

what distinguishes the master from the proficient
like it does the proficient from the apprentice
is merely an extensive lead
in making mistakes

I've never been more me before
